Amazon Web Services is seeking a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Auto & Manufacturing (AutoMFG) team. In this role, you will serve as a subject‑matter expert on AWS storage services, collaborate closely with customers and field Solution Architects, and design sophisticated solutions that accelerate adoption of advanced AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Deploy storage and data strategies, leveraging your technical depth and business experience.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white papers, reference architectures, and public‑speaking events such as AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best‑in‑class Go‑to‑Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject‑matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, helping them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
• 8+ years of domain experience in areas such as storage, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, networking, or data protection.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre‑sales, or consulting.
• Experience working with enterprise‑scale storage systems.
• Experience with Block, Object, and File storage technologies.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers.

Compensation

Base salary range by location:

• USA, CA, San Francisco - $176,600.00 - $239,000.00 USD annually
• USA, CA, Santa Clara - $176,600.00 - $239,000.00 USD annually
• USA, NJ, Jersey City - $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
• USA, NY, New York - $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Bellevue - $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually

Sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) may be included as part of the compensation package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
