The Banyan at Montclair is seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Director to lead and coordinate engaging programs for our residents. This role plays a vital part in enhancing quality of life through meaningful social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive activities program for residents.
• Organize daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including group and one‑on‑one programs.
• Coordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
• Assess residents’ interests and needs to create individualized activity plans.
• Maintain activity calendars and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support resident care plans.
• Supervise activity staff and volunteers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in activities programming, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or long‑term care setting.
• Activities Director Certification (ADC) or eligibility preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, energetic, and resident‑focused approach.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long‑term care activities programs.
