Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Aquatics Director. The purpose of this position is to administer, implement, and supervise seasonal aquatics programs and staff for the Town of Littleton at Long Lake Beach. The Aquatics Director must have the ability to work harmoniously with the program staff, participants, and the general public. They should be able to firmly enforce all facility regulations. Works under the direction of the Department Director and Assistant Director. They must assume high responsibility for achieving beach waterfront and aquatics program objectives. Works with considerable latitude for independent judgment and action. They are responsible for direction of the lifeguards, sailing staff, and snack shack attendants on shifts at the beach.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of the lakefront aquatic facilities, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to maintain a high standard of guest service and safety
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, memberships, and special requests
  • Handle cash transactions accurately during admissions, rentals, or concessions while maintaining proper records
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the lakefront area to provide a welcoming environment for visitors
  • Collaborate with Littleton Parks and Recreation Camp T and Teen Adventures staff to ensure safety and fun for all program participants.

Special requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have at least 2 years supervisory experience within the Aquatics field.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification and current First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required.
  • American Red Cross Head Guard Certification preferred but not required.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor Certification preferred but not required.

Pay: $26.36 - $27.96 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience

  • Waterfront supervisory: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (Required)
  • Red Cross Pro-Rescuer for CPR/AED/1st Aid certification (Preferred)
