
Program Director

Flatrock is seeking an experienced and motivated Program Director to provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple residential AFC homes. This role is ideal for a results‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values person‑centered care, and is passionate about developing high‑performing teams.
As Program Director, you will serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and site‑level management. This role is instrumental in maintaining operational effectiveness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the consistent delivery of high‑quality care for the individuals we serve.
This is an on‑site leadership role based in Flint, MI, with regular local travel between residential homes and corporate office locations.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership and the Upper Management Team
- Lead recurring leadership meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and initiatives
- Foster a collaborative and team‑focused culture across residential operations
Operational Oversight
- Provide oversight to multiple residential AFC homes to ensure quality and compliance standards
- Conduct weekly on‑site visits to monitor performance and provide leadership support
- Maintain an active presence within homes to mentor Home Managers and staff
Performance Management
- Evaluate leadership staff performance and implement improvement strategies
- Conduct six‑month and annual performance reviews
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to management team members
- Review and approve staff schedules and PTO requests
Strategic Leadership
- Lead key organizational projects from planning through execution
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership
- Allocate resources to support operational and performance goals
Staff Development
- Support recruitment and hiring of leadership‑level staff
- Mentor and develop members of the management team
- Participate in leadership trainings and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in residential or behavioral health services
- Demonstrated experience in staff development, performance management, and multi‑site oversight
- Ability to travel locally between residential homes and office locations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require
