Mobility Programs overview: The Mobility LPM (Logistics Program Management) Director leads a team of over 60 professionals to sustain mobility engines for global operators and serves as deputy for the Mobility Programs Director. Programs include depot maintenance, material management, spares provisioning, part repairs, field service representatives (FSRs) and related support under USAF contract. Mobility Programs in Pratt & Whitney includes the F117 and F139 engines.

The F117 engine powers the C-17 Globemaster; the F139 powers the KC-46 Pegasus tanker. This leadership role requires strategic vision, strong decision-making, communication, teamwork and customer focus, with approximately 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with F117 and F139 Program Office leadership and IPMTs to plan, execute, and communicate activities in support of contracted program elements.
  • Collaborate with internal functions (Engineering, Contracts, Legal, Finance, Integrated Customer Solutions, Global Trade, Customer Support Engineering, Operations including Module Center Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain and Quality) and external customers to sustain related contractual requirements.
  • Interface with customers to determine future needs and focus internal support to propose and win new contracts, achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Support strategic efforts including proposal development for the next F117 Sustainment contract and increased sustainment for F139.
  • Identify, communicate, elevate, and address sustainment program critical issues through appropriate IPMT processes.
  • Ensure proper resource allocation for all mobility sustainment functions.
  • Coordinate with the Mature Commercial Engines (MCE) Program Office and Aftermarket Operations to ensure mutual program success through shared parts and supply chains.
  • Provide inspiring and compassionate people leadership to drive results in adversity.
  • Apply CORE principles and a continuous improvement mindset to improve process efficiency.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, or STEM
  • 14 years of aerospace experience in program management, aftermarket operations, business development, proposal management, and/or engine design/development; or an advanced degree with 12 years in these areas
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government–issued security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • MBA
  • Working knowledge of military and commercial engine and component overhaul and repair
  • Business, Material and/or Logistics management knowledge; familiarity with U.S. Air Force fleet, technical and information management systems, and international customer systems
  • Leadership and collaboration skills to set a vision, communicate effectively, and influence across the organization
  • Ability to develop and present material to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Prior experience with the U.S. Air Force

Role Type and Work Environment

This role is Onsite. Onsite roles involve working primarily at the assigned site; relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates will learn more about role type and site status during the recruiting process. Some interviews may be conducted in-person at RTX locations as part of a secure hiring process.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. This range is a good faith estimate and depends on experience, location, education, and skills. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, and paid time off, subject to business unit eligibility and collective-bargaining agreements.

Incentive programs may be offered depending on position level and eligibility. This role is U.S.-based; pay structure and benefits may vary by territory. RTX anticipates the application window closing in about 40 days from posting, subject to change depending on business needs and candidate flow.
