Overview

A global manufacturing company that operates within a highly technical, regulated manufacturing environment is hiring a Director of Finance.

The business is experiencing strong growth and increasing operational complexity, creating the need for a finance leader to enhance cost visibility, drive profitability, and support strategic decision-making at the site level.

Director of FP&A / Finance

This role will serve as a key advisor to the General Manager and play a critical role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Control & Manufacturing Finance
    • Own and drive cost control across the factory, including labor, materials, overhead, and production efficiency
    • Develop deep insights into standard costing, variances, and margin drivers
    • Partner with Operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and margin expansion
  • FP&A & EBITDA Ownership
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with a focus on EBITDA performance and improvement
    • Monitor financial performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting profitability
    • Build and maintain driver-based models tied to operational metrics
  • Business Partnership (GM & Operations)
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager, providing financial insight to guide strategic and operational decisions
    • Act as the key bridge between Finance and Operations, ensuring alignment on performance, priorities, and initiatives
    • Support decision-making around capacity, pricing, product mix, and capital investments
  • Data Transparency & Storytelling
    • Enhance data transparency across the organization, improving visibility into key financial and operational metrics
    • Translate financial results into a clear, compelling story for leadership
    • Develop and refine reporting dashboards and KPIs that drive accountability and performance
  • Reporting & Performance Management
    • Lead monthly close reviews, including variance analysis and performance reporting
    • Deliver actionable insights to leadership on factory performance, margins, and cost trends
    • Improve reporting processes and cadence in a multi-site environment

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A and/or Finance leadership roles
  • Strong background in manufacturing finance and cost accounting (required)
  • Proven experience driving cost control and EBITDA improvement
  • Experience partnering directly with Operations and/or General Managers
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
