Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Director, Supply Chain in the Manufacturing industry. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management who can drive end-to-end supply chain strategies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our supply chain activities while ensuring cost-effective operations. With your expertise, you will be responsible for inventory management, demand and production planning, P&L, manufacturing BOMs, procurement, safety, cost control, cost reduction, warehouse management, manufacturing accounting, monthly reporting, FTZ, ERP and Oracle, demand forecasting, and S&OP.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's objectives.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels, demand planning, and production planning processes to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Oversee procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of raw materials and equipment.
- Implement safety protocols across the supply chain processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead cost control and cost reduction initiatives to achieve financial targets.
- Manage warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of products.
- Oversee manufacturing accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Utilize ERP and Oracle systems for efficient supply chain management.
- Conduct demand forecasting to anticipate future product needs and adjust supply chain processes accordingly.
- Lead and manage the S&OP process, aligning it with the company's strategic goals.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on supply chain performance, identifying areas of improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree or certification in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, production planning, P&L, manufacturing BOMs, procurement, safety, cost control, cost reduction, warehouse management, manufacturing accounting, monthly reporting, FTZ, ERP and Oracle, demand forecasting, and S&OP.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in ERP and Oracle systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
