Executive Director, Northeast Florida Chapter

Location: Jacksonville, FL. The role supports over 1.5 million residents in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns counties.

The position is primarily an external-facing community relations role, serving as the face of the Red Cross, building community relationships, managing the chapter board, and supporting the regional mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the Red Cross to maximize presence and connectivity in the community.
• Develop and sustain community relationships ensuring capacity to achieve region mission goals.
• Manage the chapter board to mobilize support and resources around the Red Cross mission.
• Develop and manage community volunteer leaders to recruit volunteers and build partnerships.
• Influence to create an environment of teamwork and inclusion and effectively deliver against the Red Cross mission.
• Serve as a member of the Elected Officials Liaison Network supporting disaster responses.
• Lead the chapter in supporting achievement of region revenue targets, fundraising, and donor accounts.
• Support volunteer engagement goals, blood collection goals, and community engagement mission goals.

Qualifications

Education : Four‑year college degree (BS/BA) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, or non‑profit administration. Master's degree preferred.

Experience : Minimum 7 years of related experience with demonstrated judgment, strong communications and influencing skills, public speaking, writing, fundraising strategy, and community partnership building.

Management Experience : N/A.

Other Skills & Abilities : Teamwork, proficiency with MS Office, familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Travel : Travel within served communities and region, occasional division; a valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Physical Requirements : Regular sitting, use of hands, talking or hearing; frequent reaching; occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; lifting up to 15 lbs routinely and occasionally up to 30 lbs.
