Job Description

As a Director IT Business Partner you will be a business leader responsible for co‑owning value creation with the business. This role moves IT beyond support into a strategic partner accountable for revenue growth, productivity, and digital monetization, including AI‑driven outcomes.
Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Value Co‑Ownership
- Co‑create business and digital strategy in partnership with sector leadership.
- Translate strategic priorities into an integrated portfolio of technology initiatives aligned to growth, margin, and productivity objectives.
- Ensure all initiatives are tied to clear financial outcomes (ROI, payback, value realization).
Executive Stakeholder Leadership
- Act as an executive‑level influencer and connector across Presidents, Finance, and IT.
- Align Tier‑3 and Tier‑4 stakeholders around shared outcomes and execution accountability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on how digital and AI capabilities can unlock future value.
Demand Shaping & Portfolio Management
- Own and shape portion of Aftermarket IT portfolio, balancing strategic investments, operational needs, and innovation.
- Establish clear prioritization mechanisms and investment governance.
- Ensure early visibility into emerging growth and productivity levers.
AI, Digital & Automation Leadership
- Define and lead a pragmatic AI monetization strategy for the sector.
- Govern, scale, and optimize AI, automation, and low‑code solutions.
- Ensure responsible AI practices, security, and enterprise standards.
AI Tiger Team Leadership
- Charter, lead, and scale AI Tiger Teams focused on high‑value opportunities (e.g., revenue protection, proposal acceleration, productivity).
- Own value hypotheses, KPIs, and executive reporting for Tiger Team outcomes.
- Drive rapid experimentation and fast‑to‑value execution.
Execution, Governance & MOS
- Own the execution model and Management Operating System (MOS) for the sector.
- Define enterprise KPIs and performance cadence.
- Make scale / stop / pivot decisions to maximize value realization.
Financial & Investment Stewardship
- Operate with an investment‑owner mindset across the portfolio.
- Partner with Finance to track benefits realization and ensure consistent value delivery.
- Manage tradeoffs to optimize enterprise outcomes.
Leadership & Culture
- Set a culture of accountability, speed, innovation, and results.
- Develop next‑generation IT Business Partners and Tiger Team leaders.
- Foster strong collaboration in a matrixed, global organization.
Qualifications
Must Haves- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, Digital, or Technology leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior business leaders (GM, VP, President level).
- Proven success, shaping and leading technology portfolios tied to business outcomes.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing ROI‑based investment decisions.
- Experience working in Agile, Lean, or product‑oriented delivery environments.
- Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Services environments.
- AI and digital proficiency with demonstrated leadership in automation or GenAI initiatives.
- Experience leading cross‑functional transformation programs at scale.
- Certifications (PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) strongly preferred.
- Ownership mindset with a relentless drive to improve business performance.
- Ability to drive “fast and right” execution in complex, matrixed organizations.
