  • Proven track record of managing and developing engineering managers and senior engineers, with responsibility for hiring, performance, coaching, and career growth.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system design, API design, and data modeling for high‑traffic, highly available, and secure services, including strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience driving end‑to‑end delivery and operations, including observability, incident management, on‑call practices, and continuous improvement of service health and performance.
  • Familiarity with AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, with the ability to ensure teams safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes within their services and platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting and executing multi‑year technical strategy for a portfolio of services or a significant product domain, including major architectural evolution, re‑platforming, or modernization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success operating complex, distributed systems at global or enterprise scale, including strong practices around resilience engineering, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
  • Track record of leading architectural design reviews and technical governance across multiple teams, ensuring coherent system design, well‑defined APIs, robust data models, and effective integration patterns.
  • Proven ability to drive data‑informed engineering decisions, leveraging telemetry, experimentation, and product analytics to improve performance, reliability, and customer outcomes.
  • Advanced experience with AI/ML‑enabled architectures or platforms in production environments, including setting guardrails, governance, and best practices so teams can safely integrate, monitor, and iterate on AI‑driven capabilities within their services, including mentoring leaders and teams on pragmatic, safe use of AI/ML in customer‑facing and developer productivity scenarios.
