Our client, a direct to consumer bridal and occasion-wear brand rwithin the Gen Z space, is seeking a Senior Director of Social Media to lead strategy across social media and influencer marketing. This role will own the brand’s voice across platforms, driving engagement, cultural relevance, and community growth while overseeing influencer partnerships and brand storytelling initiatives.
This is a highly visible leadership role, responsible for managing the social and influencer team, shaping brand perception, and connecting social efforts to broader business goals. The ideal candidate understands how to build a brand in today’s digital landscape, with a strong point of view on content, community, and culture.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand and business objectives, focused on driving engagement, follower growth, and brand awareness
Lead and manage the social media and influencer marketing team, setting clear goals, mentoring talent, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment
Oversee content strategy and ensure brand consistency across all social platforms, with a strong understanding of Gen Z tone, aesthetics, and behavior
Identify and activate emerging platforms, trends, and content formats to keep the brand culturally relevant and ahead of the curve
Own influencer strategy, including partnerships, seeding, campaigns, and long-term relationship building
Lead the direction and execution of influencer events, brand activations, and PR moments
Partner with PR teams to strengthen media relationships, brand partnerships, and collaborations
Analyze performance across all channels using data and insights to optimize content, campaigns, and ROI
Report on KPIs and performance metrics to senior leadership, providing actionable recommendations
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, ecommerce, and merchandising teams to ensure alignment across all brand touchpoints
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
6+ years of experience in social media and influencer marketing, with progression into a leadership role
Experience within fashion, beauty, or a digitally-native consumer brand preferred
Strong understanding of social-first brand building, influencer ecosystems, and digital storytelling
Proven ability to manage and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to inform strategy
Deep understanding of current social media platforms, tools, and best practices
