Principal Startup Investor Manager, (VC or Angel) , AWS Worldwide Startups

As a Principal Investment Manager within AWS, you will collaborate with venture capital partners to accelerate the success of portfolio companies, unlocking the full potential of AWS infrastructure and enabling rapid innovation.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Execute and drive initiatives with venture firms, developing investor‑focused programs that accelerate portfolio company success.
• Design and implement solutions that address specific startup and investor needs.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional initiatives involving AWS Startups, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Track program effectiveness and provide insights based on feedback and results.
• Gather early‑stage market signals from investors and founders to inform AWS innovation and meet the evolving needs of tomorrow's breakthrough companies.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience driving execution of large‑scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals.
• 10+ years of experience in the technology industry with a focus on startups, ideally in combination with technical leadership roles.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing architectures, services, and best practices; knowledge of generative AI technologies.
• Ability to evaluate and guide early‑stage and scaling companies.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or technical‑management field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or MBA.
• Leadership experience at startups or at venture capital firms.
• Experience building and scaling cloud‑native applications from the ground up.
• Strong analytical and technical assessment capabilities.
• Experience with commercial aspects of fast‑growing technical businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Experience in multiple technical domains (AI/ML, Security, Infrastructure).

Base salary range: USA, CA, East Palo Alto – $193,700.00 – $262,000.00 USD annually; USA, CA, San Francisco – $193,700.00 – $262,000.00 USD annually.
