Job Description
As a Senior HR Partner within the Employee Relations, you will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives by partnering with HR leaders and the Legal team. You will provide expert coaching and guidance on complex matters including HR compliance, performance management, corrective actions, policy violations and bespoke employment issues. You will lead and conduct thorough investigations into escalated issues such as performance disputes and workplace disagreements, working closely with the Legal team to address substantial risks to the company. Additionally, you will identify and mitigate compliance risks with local, state and federal laws, ensuring the organization adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct comprehensive internal investigations for complex behavioral and culture-related issues, ensuring timely and thorough documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate extensively with the Legal team to escalat high risk issues and train HR team members in advanced investigation techniques.
- Identify and drive opportunities for compliance education and training, partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver impactful programs for managers and business leaders.
- Lead HR projects, providing strategic guidance to ensure adherence to data and process compliance.
- Oversee audits of HR policies and documents, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide strategic insights through investigation case data and trend analysis, offering actionable feedback to reduce organizational risk.
- Develop and refine frameworks for managing internal allegations and claims, enhancing processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with senior HR and legal leaders on critical employee relations matters, providing strategic advice and consultation.
- Support mergers and acquisitions by harmonizing policies and identifying synergies.
- Manage complex ER cases with precision, ensuring timely case entry and tracking.
- Advise on policy interpretation and position eliminations, providing strategic consultation to HR and business leaders.
- Coach and influence HR leaders on interventions to mitigate employee relations risks, enhancing organizational culture.
- Facilitate advanced training sessions to build employee relations capabilities among HR professionals and managers.
- Guide managers on performance management strategies, aligning with company philosophy and practices.
- Promote deep understanding and compliance with company policies and employment laws through strategic coaching and training initiatives.
Qualifications
Skills
- Expertise in conducting complex employee relations investigations with a strategic, customer-first approach.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance, including EEO, Data Privacy, FLSA, EPA, and FMLA.
- Strong consultative, coaching, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences and articulate complex issues.
- Proven track record in managing multiple high-impact projects with strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong business acumen, decision-making, and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to write comprehensive reports and effectively present findings to senior leadership.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to sharing insights and challenging assumptions.
- Ability to assess and manage sensitive employee relations issues with confidentiality and objectivity, determining when legal escalation is necessary.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in balancing time constraints and the need for resolution.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in HRBP, employee relations, and compliance roles.
- Experience in the medical device, life sciences, or related industries is preferred.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems and case management software. Prior Service Now experience preferred.

Compensation
Base Compensation Range Region 1: $182,000 USD - $262,000 USD
Base Compensation Range Region 2: $154,700 USD - $222,700 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule – This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
