Job Description
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for the clinical and fiscal management of assigned patient care units. Provides assistance to the CNO in the accomplishment of unit specific, nursing department and organizational goals. Maintains awareness of legal, professional, regulatory, and institutional responsibilities. Acts as liaison between the medical staff and the nursing staff.
Qualifications
CA RN license
BLS
ACLS
2 plus years as Director of Surgical Services
Demonstrated competence in management, leadership, organizational skills and clinical expertise in areas of responsibility
BSN
MSN or related field preferred
