Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements operational strategies and policies that align departmental activities with overall company objectives.
  • Establishes priorities, measures performance, and provides clear, constructive feedback to production and operations leaders.
  • Identifies operational challenges and leads process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
  • Manages operational budgets, allocates resources effectively, and monitors financial performance to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that support organizational goals and priorities.
  • Promotes a strong continuous improvement and safety-first culture across all manufacturing operations.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops Production Managers across all departments.
  • Ensures sustainable implementation and adherence to quality standards and systems.
  • Utilizes financial and operational metrics to drive data-based decision-making.
  • Effectively communicates across all levels of the organization to align teams and drive results.
  • Maintains a visible, approachable, and collaborative leadership presence on the production floor and within the organization.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading and sustaining a lean manufacturing organization.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and foster a high-performance production environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze operational data, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and long-term operational planning capability.
  • Leads by example with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to work with computer screens and read detailed reports.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and manufacturing environments.
