Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and implements operational strategies and policies that align departmental activities with overall company objectives.
- Establishes priorities, measures performance, and provides clear, constructive feedback to production and operations leaders.
- Identifies operational challenges and leads process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
- Manages operational budgets, allocates resources effectively, and monitors financial performance to ensure profitability.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that support organizational goals and priorities.
- Promotes a strong continuous improvement and safety-first culture across all manufacturing operations.
- Leads, coaches, and develops Production Managers across all departments.
- Ensures sustainable implementation and adherence to quality standards and systems.
- Utilizes financial and operational metrics to drive data-based decision-making.
- Effectively communicates across all levels of the organization to align teams and drive results.
- Maintains a visible, approachable, and collaborative leadership presence on the production floor and within the organization.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading and sustaining a lean manufacturing organization.
- Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and foster a high-performance production environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze operational data, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking and long-term operational planning capability.
- Leads by example with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach with arms and hands.
- Visual acuity sufficient to work with computer screens and read detailed reports.
Work Environment
- Combination of office and manufacturing environments.
