We currently have an opportunity for a Director of Operations in our Forest Park, IL location.
The Director of Operations - Illinois is responsible for overseeing all operational and financial performance for Illinois market. This leader will direct statewide home and community-based care programs - most critically the Illinois CCU (Community Care Unit) and Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSA) - ensuring operational excellence, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, workforce optimization, and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of all Illinois CCUs and LHCSA operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide operational standards and strategic objectives.
- Own Illinois P&L performance, including revenue, margin management, cost control, and operational forecasting.
- Ensure high performance across all operational KPIs, including staffed hours, authorized hours utilization, and assessments
- Identify and execute growth opportunities - geographic expansion, service-line development, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead day-to-day operational management across branch locations, including staffing, scheduling, field operations, care delivery, and client experience.
- Develop and implement scalable operational workflows, performance dashboards, and productivity benchmarks for the Illinois market.
- Responsible for ensuring both the CCU and LHCSA programs meet and/or exceed their performance goals
- Ensure compliance with state requirements, CCU contractual expectations, and caregiver workforce standards.
- Build strong relationships with CCU program administrators and public-sector partners.
- Drive quality, timeliness, and accuracy of all CCU activities, including required documentation, service workflows, audit readiness, and revenue activities.
- Strengthen billing, documentation accuracy, and claims performance to minimize leakage and maximize revenue integrity.
- LHCSA - Improve service delivery efficiencies, minimize missed visits, enhance caregiver retention, and drive superior – including EEV compliances
- Ensure adherence to Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA), Department of Public Health (IDPH), and all other relevant federal and state regulatory bodies.
- Partner closely with the compliance and HR teams to maintain audit readiness, manage corrective action plans, and enforce policy standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Business, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of progressive leadership experience within home health, home and community-based services, long-term care, or related healthcare fields.
- Experience managing CCU programs within the Illinois market.
- Strong background in managing LHCSA operations in multi-branch multi-city environment.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, multi-site operations, and P&L ownership.
- Deep understanding of Illinois regulatory frameworks (IDoA, IDPH, HFS, CCU requirements).
- Demonstrated success improving operational KPIs, compliance outcomes, and workforce performance.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills – and process-driven.
