Shopify Architect

We are looking for a seasoned Shopify Architect with deep expertise in the Shopify ecosystem and a strong background in solution architecture.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset for headless commerce, experience in systems integration, and a solid understanding of performance and security best practices.
This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable solutions within the Shopify ecosystem, including Storefront, Admin APIs, Polaris, and Liquid.
- Lead the implementation of headless commerce strategies using Hydrogen and Oxygen.
- Develop and maintain integration strategies with ERP, PIM, and CRM systems.
- Ensure adherence to security and performance best practices across all Shopify implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Contribute to agile planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- 10+ years of overall experience in software architecture and development.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify architecture.
- Deep expertise in Shopify technologies including Storefront, Admin APIs, Polaris, and Liquid.
- Strong understanding of Hydrogen and Oxygen frameworks.
- Proven experience in solution architecture and headless commerce strategies.
- Experience with systems integration involving ERP, PIM, and CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of security and performance optimization best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in agile environments.
- Experience in mentoring development teams and leading technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools.
