Overview

3M is seeking a National Account Director to lead the U.S. and Canada Consumer Business for Walmart and Sam’s Club. This strategic, results‑driven sales leader will drive growth across multiple brand portfolios through strong negotiation, analytical capability, and cross‑functional collaboration. The role is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with Walmart and Sam’s Club while managing major 3M brands including Filtrete™, Command™, Scotch®, Post‑it®, Scotch‑Brite®, ACE, ScotchBlue™, and 3M Safety.

Responsibilities

As a National Account Director , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will:

  • Lead a team of Sales Account Managers, Business Analysts, and Replenishment Managers to deliver against key account objectives
  • Drive growth, profitability, and strategic account performance
  • Influence cross‑functional partners across Supply Chain, Analytics, Marketing, and Category teams
  • Manage sales forecasts, monthly goals, promotional budgets, and performance targets
  • Guide line reviews and all internal and external customer‑focused meetings
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Lead Customer Operating Plans, Joint Business Plans, and Quarterly Business Reviews

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre‑employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in Key Account Sales for regional and national chain accounts, including leadership or team management responsibility
  • Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience calling on national key accounts
  • Knowledge of customer‑ and dealer‑centric tools
  • Demonstrated strength in sales leadership, with a proven ability to deliver results, meet objectives, and drive strategic negotiation and planning
  • Experience with Analytics and Supply Chain preferred

Work Location

  • On‑site: This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at 3M Rogers, AR.
  • Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international.
  • Relocation: May be authorized.
  • Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Compensation & Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $250,253 - $305,864, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits including Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits.
