Hyatt Regency Morristown is located in the heart of downtown Morristown’s historic district near George Washington’s Headquarters, The Morris Museum, and Fosterfields Living Historical Farm. The Sales Manager will be responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting space, and other Hyatt services to customer groups; managing accounts; conducting site inspections, solicits, and generating business; preparing and presenting effective proposals; maintaining organized documentation and reports; utilizing Hyatt systems; coordinating customer service requirements; and participating in or leading event, sales, and staff meetings. The role requires close collaboration with sales, catering, and support staff, including an administrative assistant.
What you’ll do:
- Proactively identify and pursue new group sales opportunities to achieve revenue goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, and travel partners
- Respond to inquiries, create customized proposals, and negotiate contracts
- Conduct site tours and presentations to showcase the property and services
- Partner with event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to drive strategic sales efforts
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to generate leads
- Maintain accurate sales records and activity tracking in CRM systems
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction to drive repeat and referral business

The salary range for the position is $60,100 to $72,000.
Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of 1‑3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge
- Completion of Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent preferred
- Training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills desired
