Our client is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing. This is a packaging manufacturer based in Kansas City. This position will manage 5 Direct Report Sales Managers while overseeing the entire domestic sales portfolio consisting on 100+ Accounts nationwide. The VP of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence & elevating brand awareness. This executive leader will oversee all aspects of sales strategy, marketing execution & customer relationship development; ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives & capabilities. As a key member of the leadership team, the VP will set the tone for professionalism & encourage collaboration across departments to break down organizational silos.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop & implement strategic sales plans to achieve short & long-term revenue targets.
  • Lead and coach the sales team to pursue new business opportunities in key sectors
  • Strengthen relationships with existing accounts to expand market share.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activity to inform proactive sales tactics.
  • Oversee the creation & execution of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to improve lead generation, conversion rates, and customer retention.
  • Manage brand positioning, ensuring a consistent and compelling voice in the market
  • Foster a collaborative, open culture that prioritizes shared goals over departmental boundaries
  • Partner with departmental leaders to align sales / marketing strategies with company-wide initiatives, operational capacity, and long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 7-10+ years in B2B Sales / Marketing Leadership - Experience in labels & flexible packaging strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) & marketing automation tools, and ERP Systems
  • Attributes of Professionalism, Ethical Leadership, and Personal Accountability
