The Role AvalonBay Communities is searching for a dedicated and highly organized Sr. Leasing Consultant to lead the daily operations of the leasing team at one of our apartment communities, ensuring residents experience nothing short of luxury living.
As a Sr. Leasing Consultant you will be the driving force in helping residents find the best place to call home. Your creative, thoughtful tours will be customized to individual tastes, from recommending the perfect floorplan to outlining the best new neighborhood restaurants. With weekends being the busiest time, Saturday availability is required.
Incredible customer service skills: create a sense of community and go the extra mile to deliver a spectacular resident experience.
Sales and marketing chops: build excitement through personalized tours, campaigns, continuous outreach, and social media to fuel community enthusiasm.
Follow‑through: continuously reach out with tailored updates—ideally floorplans, hotspots, best food trucks—to paint a picture of what it’s like to live in our community.
Genuine desire to help residents and colleagues in creating a better way to live.
Leadership: provide support, guidance, and on‑the‑job training to new hires and associates.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
1+ year experience in a leasing or customer‑service role in real estate or property management required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
