Private Credit Analyst/Associate

A leading global hedge fund managing over $70 billion in AUM is seeking a structured finance analyst/associate. Job Description Assessing potential investment opportunities through business and financial due diligence, including qualitative and quantitative risk/return analysis Building and maintaining financial and valuation models to evaluate performance, analyze loan-level data, perform scenario sensitivities, and support investment recommendations Monitoring portfolio companies and strategic positions, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to manage exposures Preparing clear and thorough investment memos outlining opportunities and associated risks Supporting investment structuring, negotiation, and execution Staying informed on market trends and regulatory developments affecting relevant asset classes Collaborating internally and maintaining professional relationships with key counterparties and sell-side partners Requirements/Qualifications 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, structured credit, securitized products trading, private equity, or buy-side investing Experience in a formal investment banking program with exposure to transaction execution and financial analysis is strongly preferred Sell-side trading or research experience in residential mortgage- or asset-backed securities is a plus Buy-side experience building financial models, analyzing loan-level data, performing due diligence, preparing investment materials, and supporting deal execution is advantageous Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; familiarity with Intex, Bloomberg, or Python is a plus Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences Quick learner with a versatile skill set, intellectual curiosity, and a strong investment appetite
