Director, Product Management - MyPay New San Francisco, CA, USA
Chime, San Francisco, CA, United States
We’re hiring a Director of Product Management to lead MyPay across both workplace and direct‑to‑consumer experiences. This is a highly strategic role focused on building a product that deepens member love while unlocking new avenues for growth. You’ll define the long‑term vision, guide a team through ambiguity, and partner closely across the company to turn MyPay into a foundational part of the Chime ecosystem.
You’ll be stepping into a product that already plays a meaningful role for our members, but is still early in realizing its full potential. MyPay sits at the intersection of everyday financial behavior and long‑term financial progress, with the opportunity to become a core part of how members engage with Chime. This role is about taking something that works today and evolving it into something members can’t imagine living without—while uncovering new ways it can drive meaningful, sustainable growth.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $239,000.00 and up to $330,000.00. Full‑time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
Own and evolve the product strategy for MyPay across multiple surfaces and customer segments
Lead and develop a team of product managers operating across different problem spaces and maturity levels
Define and prioritize long‑term bets that increase member engagement, trust, and retention
Identify and unlock new growth levers that expand MyPay adoption and usage
Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and Operations to deliver impact
Navigating early‑stage ambiguity while building toward scalable, repeatable product systems
Translate company‑level priorities into clear product direction and measurable outcomes
To thrive in this role, you have
Experience leading product teams responsible for complex, consumer‑facing products
A track record of owning products that span both zero‑to‑one and growth phases
Experience building products that drive strong user engagement and retention
Demonstrated ability to define and execute long‑term product strategy in ambiguous environments
Experience partnering across multiple functions to deliver large‑scale initiatives
Strong product judgment grounded in customer needs, data, and business impact
Experience in fintech, payments, or adjacent regulated spaces [PREFERRED, IF APPLICABLE]
What we offer for our full‑time, regular employees
Our in‑office work policy is designed to keep you connected - with four days a week in the office and Fridays from home for those near one of our offices, plus team and company‑wide events depending on location. Whether you’re coming in regularly or are part of our fully remote program, you’ll stay engaged with your work and teammates.
In‑office perks including backup child, elder, and/or pet care, plus a subsidized commuter benefit to support your regular commute
