National Account Manager/Director (Walmart & Sam's Club) | Bentonville, AR Area | $140,000 - $170,000 salary range

Role Summary: The National Account Manager/Director (flexible on title based on seniority/experience level) will oversee two key national accounts – Walmart and Sam's Club. This role acts as the central point of contact across internal teams, external partners, and the retailer’s buying organization. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless execution across in-store and online channels while identifying opportunities to expand distribution, improve performance, and strengthen the overall partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
Own overall account performance, including sales growth, assortment optimization, and execution across physical and digital shelves
Analyze sales data, track KPIs, and surface actionable insights to improve performance and identify new opportunities
Collaborate with supply chain and demand planning teams to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory flow, and on-time fulfillment
Lead item setup, assortment changes, and product lifecycle management within the retailer system
Develop and execute retail marketing strategies, including promotional calendars and off-shelf merchandising initiatives
Partner cross-functionally with marketing to align on campaigns that support both eCommerce and in-store traffic
Manage digital retail media and merchandising efforts to improve visibility, conversion, and overall online performance
Build strong relationships with buyers and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to support category growth
Coordinate closely with external partners such as brokers to ensure alignment and flawless execution
Qualifications:
7-12+ years of experience managing club and mass retail accounts within the CPG industry, ideally in food or beverage
Walmart and Sam's Club experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage large, complex retail partnerships at a national level
Strong working knowledge of retail promotions, category management, and eCommerce merchandising
Comfortable working with data and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, syndicated data platforms like IRI or NielsenIQ)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
$140,000 - $170,000 base salary range
15-20% annual bonus target
