
Assistant Superintendent - Great Valley

Great Valley School District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our Cabinet leadership team. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will play a critical role in shaping and advancing district-wide initiatives, driving academic excellence, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Promote overall student development with an emphasis on belonging as well as opportunities for inclusive academic programming, K-12.
Engage staff and community stakeholders to identify strategic priorities and initiatives through collaborative opportunities that improve student success and overall school experiences.
Recommend and support programming related to multi-tiered system of interventions and other student support systems to improve academic achievement.
Serve as Title IX Coordinator and support the Human Resources Department including administrative job searches In conjunction with the Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services, direct the work of K-12 principals and provide them with leadership development and professional development.
Assist the Superintendent in the administration and coordination of the District's educational program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility
Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in school administration
Preferred Attributes
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with School Board members, administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, students, community partners, and external agencies
Three current letters of reference (one must be from a direct supervisor) Unofficial transcripts
Current clearances: Act 34, Act 151, Act 114, and Act 24 (PDE6004 Form
