How You’ll Contribute
The Director of Business Development leads commercial teams to identify, pursue, and close large‑scale global and strategic opportunities. They drive business development initiatives from lead through contract, overseeing opportunity assessment, proposal development, negotiation, and client engagement. Location
Chicago or Dallas area What You’ll Do
Lead new business and scope opportunities from early identification through final proposal delivery and contract closure. Develop capture plans, win themes, budgets, and execution strategies. Collaborate with the deal team to craft proposals that address client goals and highlight Diversified’s strengths. Create technical, financial, and commercial frameworks for business pursuits. Construct value propositions, business cases, pricing, and terms, and serve as the primary client interface. Provide consultative sales support and identify compelling value propositions for the client. Apply defined processes and methodology to ensure products/services meet client needs and specifications. Track and reconcile changes in scope and pricing throughout the contracting phase. Maintain proposal quality, resolve productivity issues, and implement risk mitigation as needed. Collect, analyze, and document client feedback to improve future programs. What You’ll Bring: Required Skills/Qualifications
Strong background cultivating opportunities through contractors, consultants, architects, and specifier channels. 10+ years of client‑facing sales experience with technology or managed services deals. Skilled in lead generation, prospecting, and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential clients. Ability to translate client business objectives into differentiated winning outcomes. Track record of managing relationships with senior‑level clients from initial contact through close. Experience leading diverse, matrixed teams. Capable of directing go‑to‑market teams to develop client‑focused proposals and deliverables. What We Offer
