
E-Billing Specialist

We are actively seeking an E‑Billing Specialist for a top international law firm in New York. This role will focus on the full lifecycle of electronic billing, while ensuring compliance with outside counsel guidelines and billing requirements. This is a permanent, full‑time position with a hybrid schedule with a starting salary of $85‑95K (commensurate with experience) plus overtime and discretionary bonus.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in e‑billing, billing, or related finance role within a law firm or professional services environment
Proficiency in e‑Billing platforms such as Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Tymetrix360, CounselGo, Collaborati, BillingPoint, Brightflag, or similar REQUIRED
Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions)
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Experience with Aderant or similar financial systems a plus
Flexibility to work evenings as needed to meet deadlines
Responsibilities
Manage the submission of electronic invoices through various client and third‑party eBilling platforms
Review invoices, timekeepers, and billing rates to ensure accuracy and compliance with client guidelines
Monitor e‑bill status, track rejections, and follow up to ensure timely processing and payment
Troubleshoot billing issues and coordinate corrections to minimize delays or rejections
Maintain and update timekeeper and rate information across eBilling systems
Partner with Pricing and Finance teams to submit and manage rate approvals and updates
Review and interpret outside counsel guidelines to ensure billing compliance
Assist with system configurations and mappings, including support within billing tools such as BillBlast
Communicate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing inquiries and improve processes
