A prestigious Century City law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
entry-level legal assistant
to join its Plaintiff Asbestos litigation team. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, some legal or office experience, and the ability to manage court filings, discovery, and case-related correspondence in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (½ hour unpaid lunch)
Initial training period: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch
Duration:
Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities
Handle court filings, including e-filing and physical filings when required
Assist with discovery preparation and organizations
Draft, proof, and send case-related correspondence
Maintain and organize case files and calendars
Support attorneys with case management tasks and trial preparation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
Ideally
3-6 months or more
of relevant legal or office experience (no more than 3-5 years)
Ideally some e-Discovery experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal software a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
