Senior Paralegal - Litigations and Subpoenas

Position Summary Litigation & Subpoena Senior Paralegal – Toyota Financial Services (TFS) will support the Legal Litigation & Subpoena Team in handling civil litigation cases and processing subpoenas. The role reports to the Managing Counsel – Litigation and is based in Plano, Texas, requiring residency within a commutable distance.

Key Responsibilities

Use team tools (TeamConnect and Net Documents) to manage work.

Assist with all civil litigation matters, including small claims, class actions, arbitration, and subpoenas involving TFS.

Partner with internal and external counsel to prepare and review litigation documents, maintain schedules, manage deadlines, depositions, litigation holds, pleadings, and develop strategies with supervising counsel.

Develop and maintain reporting to senior management regarding litigation matters, spot trends, and collaborate with compliance and other legal staff on policy, procedures, and training.

Identify opportunities for collaboration within the department and with external business units.

Negotiate settlements with outside counsel.

Intake and process subpoenas.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent professional work experience.

Five or more years of experience as a litigation paralegal supporting in‑house counsel or a law firm.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

Consumer finance litigation experience.

Board Certified Paralegal (BCP) through Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS).

Proficiency with TeamConnect and Net Documents.
