Position Overview

As a Director of Strategic Sourcing at Honeywell, you will hold a leadership role accountable for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize the supply base, achieve cost savings, and drive supplier performance improvement.

Location & Employment

You will report directly to our Sr. Director Strategic Sourcing and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans
  • Ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business objectives
  • Drive supplier negotiation and contract management
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the procurement team
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align sourcing strategies
  • Improve sourcing processes and performance through effective management operating systems
  • Communicate and report transition progress to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools (e.g., SAP and e‑sourcing platforms)
  • International experience with exposure to high‑growth regions
  • Cross‑functional experience in Digital Technology, Supply Chain and Finance

We Value

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, preferable
  • Extensive experience in procurement and sourcing
  • Complex and large project management and/or contract management experience
  • Professional certifications in project/supply chain/procurement/contract management
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen
  • Experience with SAP, e‑Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
