Company Overview: Dumpling Daughter opened its flagship restaurant in Weston, Massachusetts in 2014, a location that still serves our food to the local community, and where the headquarter office remains today. The company now boasts distribution in 4000+ grocery retail stores nationwide, a strong Amazon footprint servicing all 50 states and a bourgeoning foodservice business. Here in 2026, we are now an omni-channel brand that operates in multiple categories with national distribution.

The DD team is a small, founder led team of professionals who are passionate about building an authentic and honest brand. We are looking for entrepreneurial thinkers to build a rockstar team in a booming category!

POSITION OVERVIEW – DIRECTOR OF SALES (EAST COAST FOCUS)

Location: Remote position, ideally located on the East coast near a major airport

Reporting to: Andrew Bellisano, Vice President of Sales

Dumpling Daughter is a high growth company searching for a knowledgeable CPG sales professional who is a hands‑on individual, willing to get out and grow the channel one customer at a time while also nurturing and growing an existing customer base.

The role requires a strong understanding of the CPG sales channel (East Coast customer exp required) and the ability to develop and execute a sales growth strategy in line with overall company goals. This person will have control of their own success by building the business with a healthy number of existing customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus will be the East Coast Grocery Retail Business + some Foodservice and potentially Alt Channel/Club
  • Key customers are as follows but not limited to: Rainforest, UNFI, Publix, Harris Teeter, Ahold‑Delhaize, Market Basket, Shaws, Wakefern, Wegmans, etc.
  • Work with VP of Sales to build out the national CPG strategy, inclusive of eastern customers & execute against the strategy
  • Manage broker partners and potentially hire/fire broker teams
  • Manage total trade spend to be in line with company trade spend target
  • Work with DSD distributor partners in the field to drive brand awareness and gain additional outlets/item expansion
  • Approximately 30%+ domestic travel, including days in the field, trade shows, headquarters visits and meetings
  • Engage with your network to gain immediate product adoption and awareness
  • Set up promotions and run analysis to ensure promo plans are running effectively & efficiently
  • Represent Dumpling Daughter in sales meetings and customer visits

Engage with customers through visits, emails, and phone calls.

Build relationships with brokers and distributor partners.

New business acquisition, including independents and up to large regional chains.

Includes research, outreach, presentations, meetings.

Attend national food shows / conferences: Help with booth set-up, sampling, customer acquisition/outreach, follow-ups, etc.

Ability to support team colleagues in Foodservice, West Coast and other areas as needed.

Work cross functionally with the Marketing, Ops and Finance teams to execute go to market strategy, launch new items and communicate effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years sales experience, with at least 2+ years calling on major customers (East – Rainforest, Ahold‑Delhaize, Publix, Wegmans, Market Basket, Wakefern, etc.)
  • Passionate about food and customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Entrepreneurial, scrappy, organized, and able to work with a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred experience (not necessary): Working closely with Founder led businesses.
