6 Points Sports Academy- A URJ Summer Camp, Asheville, NC, United States
Summer Camp Photographer The photographers at 6 Points must have a passion for photography and a desire to work in a fast‑paced camp environment. Each day they will photograph sports majors, electives, and special all‑camp activities, including the Maccabiah (color war) and Shabbat. They are expected to upload pictures the same day, manage a high volume of images, and remain flexible to capture spontaneous moments that arise during camp.
Qualifications Experience making short promotional slideshows
Experience working in a camp environment
Knowledge of Canon DSLRs and photo manipulation software
Ability to work independently and flexibly
Not required to be Jewish to work at camp
Responsibilities Capture daily photographs of campers in both scheduled activities and unstructured moments
Upload daily photos of each camper to CampMinder
Edit and produce weekly slideshows summarizing the 6 Points Sports Academy experience
Edit and produce promotional photos for use during the 2023-2024 calendar year
Perform duties efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrate ability to prioritize and organize time; maintain a physical environment in an effective, organized manner
Attend staff meetings as scheduled
Accept additional duties as assigned by the Camp Directors
Salary Salaries range from $2200‑3000 for a full summer commitment based on experience.
Summer 2026 Dates Staff Training Week begins Monday, June 8.
Attendance at training camp is mandatory; pre‑arrival online meetings and training are also required.
Camp runs with campers from June 16 – July 27.
Travel Reimbursement Travel may be reimbursed up to $500 for flights or gas to get to and from camp, depending on travel distance.
Room and Board Dormitory housing is provided as well as all three meals (& multiple snacks) in the campus dining hall.
