Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) manages and strategically grows SGWS's business through influential leadership, achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets set by the Sales Director.
Primary Responsibilities
Achieve revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director.
Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize company profits and determine ROI on focused initiatives.
Analyze and project quarterly and monthly business for assigned territory.
Provide conflict resolution, remove performance obstacles, and address relationship concerns among key accounts in the region.
Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and the entire account base to stay competitive.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
3–5 years of industry‑related sales experience.
Dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to manage and stay within an assigned budget.
Strategic, analytical thought process with strong financial acumen.
Proficiency in analyzing data to anticipate potential issues and model solutions.
Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities.
Proficiency with Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof.
Ability to understand supplier strategies and align with internal and external teams.
Minimum age 21 years.
Physical Demands
Sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or mobile device for extended periods.
Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Workweek often exceeds 40 hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling of up to 40 lbs.
