Vested Search are excited to partner with a globally established Private Equity fund who are looking to add a VP Tax into their New York HQ

This is a broad tax role with a focus on tax planning, supporting investments, portfolio company tax and transaction tax projects both within the US and globally

• Advise on tax implications of fund structuring to address the diverse requirements of the Firm’s global investor base
• Tax structuring of the Firm’s investment platforms
• Work closely with external tax advisors to provide clear tax structuring advice to investment teams on new investments, restructurings, distributions and exit events
• Establish and have routine communication with the portfolio company’s internal and external tax function to facilitate smoother tax compliance process for the fund and to help evaluate and drive tax planning opportunities in the portfolio companies
• Draft, or review 3rd party prepared, tax memorandum to ensure properly documented audit file
• Provide tax planning and strategy for the organization, including its management companies, general partner (both individuals and entities) and foreign offices
• Advise the firm with respect to U.S. and global tax developments that could impact our funds and the firm

Individuals should be experienced tax professionals within the investment industry. CPA or JD qualified candidates are strongly preferred
