Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a respected organization in Fort Pierce to identify a detail-oriented Records Management Specialist. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance.
About the Role
The
Records Management Specialist
supports organizational compliance and operational efficiency through effective records governance, documentation management, and regulatory adherence. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate recordkeeping, confidentiality, and compliance with public records and retention requirements, while supporting the organization's transition to electronic records systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage organizational records, documentation, and compliance files
Maintain and organize physical and electronic records in accordance with established retention schedules
Support compliance with public records laws and regulatory requirements
Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive and protected records
Assist with digitization initiatives and the transition from paper to electronic systems
Develop, maintain, and support records management policies and procedures
Train staff on proper documentation practices, records retention, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistency and records management best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Two to three years of experience in records management, compliance, document control, or a related role
Experience supporting compliance, audits, or regulatory documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Knowledge of records retention requirements and compliance standards preferred
Certified Records Manager (CRM) or records/compliance-related training is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay range of
$27.05 - $35.15
