Instructional Designer (Hybrid)

Job Title: Instructional Designer II Duration: 6-month contract (potential extension/conversion) Location: Nashville, TN,Seattle/Bellevue, Arlington VA, Chicago, New York – Hybrid (3 days onsite preferred) Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Support translation and localization workflows for L&D materials across global teams • Partner with linguists, project managers, and instructional designers to deliver translated content • Analyze and prepare source files (including Storyline exports/imports and structured content formats) • Integrate translated content into learning platforms and technical delivery environments • Conduct QA testing on translated materials to ensure functionality and accuracy • Provide troubleshooting support for translation-related technical issues • Identify opportunities to improve translation workflows, tools, and efficiency Must Haves • 2+ years of experience in instructional design or localization-focused L&D environments • Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar e-learning authoring tools • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (especially for text-in-image localization) • Familiarity with localization workflows (e.g., export/import processes, translation handling) • Basic knowledge of XML/HTML for content handling and formatting • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed global teams Plusses • Experience with translation management systems (TMS) • Exposure to machine translation and post-editing workflows (MTPE) • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish or Japanese preferred, not required) • Experience supporting QA validation for GenAI-generated translations • Experience working in global, cross-regional L&D or operations environments Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $28 - $30 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
