Job Summary

The Art Director, Social Media is a creative thinker and visual storyteller who supports the

development of compelling content across Company and market-specific social

platforms. This role blends conceptual thinking, design execution, and trend awareness to

help drive brand awareness and engagement across social channels.

Working closely with the social creative team, videographers, photographers, copywriters,

and strategists, this role contributes to the creation of social-first content that inspires and

connects with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the visual development and execution of social-first content across

platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

• Design and develop channel-appropriate creative for organic and paid social.

• Collaborate with creative teammates and cross-functional partners to concept and

execute social content aligned with brand and campaign goals.

• Support art direction for social-focused photo and video shoots, including pre[1]production planning and on-set assistance.

• Partner with designers, editors, and copywriters to ensure cohesive storytelling and

strong creative execution.

• Assist in the development of Social Playbooks, contributing ideas, visual directions,

and content templates.

• Stay up to date on social trends, formats, and cultural moments, and bring forward

relevant ideas for content.

• Ensure creative aligns with platform best practices, audience behaviors, and brand

guidelines.

• Collaborate with creators and influencers to help bring authentic brand moments to

life.

• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Core Competencies

• Strong ability to translate creative direction into engaging, platform-specific

content.

• Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook)

and emerging content trends.

• Good eye for composition, styling, and design, with an interest in evolving craft

across motion and video.

• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and receiving creative

feedback.

• Ability to manage multiple projects with guidance, meeting deadlines in a fast[1]paced environment.

• Eagerness to learn, iterate, and grow creative skillsets.

• Interest in both polished and lo-fi content styles.

• Awareness of cultural and social trends, with a desire to translate them into brand[1]relevant content.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in design or art direction, preferably in a social-first, beauty,

or lifestyle environment.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating design and storytelling across formats (static, video,

social content, etc.).

• Familiarity with social content creation, including basic understanding of

photo/video production.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; motion/animation skills (After Effects,

Premiere) a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction in a team environment.

• Positive attitude, curiosity, and openness to feedback.

• Passion for beauty, storytelling, and creating engaging social content
