Credit Officer - IG, HY, Sponsor/ Lev Fin

VP Corporate Credit Analyst sought for a Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) platform in the US , covering a broad range of Investment Grade and High Yield corporate credits across multiple industries , with occasional involvement in sponsor-backed / acquisition finance transactions , including limited LBO-style analysis when leveraged deals arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis across IG and HY corporate borrowers
- Prepare and present credit papers for new transactions, renewals, and amendments
- Ongoing portfolio monitoring , including risk rating reviews and covenant / financial tracking
- Assess capital structure, liquidity, cash flow generation, and refinancing risk
- Partner with coverage, risk, and product teams on transaction execution and approvals
- Support occasional sponsor / leveraged finance transactions , including:
- review of LBO-style models or acquisition cases
- downside scenario and leverage sensitivity analysis
- Contribute to sector views and broader portfolio strategy discussions
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in corporate credit, leveraged finance, HY credit research, or related banking / buy-side roles
- Strong understanding of corporate capital structures across IG and sub-investment grade credits
- Ability to perform detailed financial statement analysis and cash flow assessment
- Familiarity with leverage metrics, debt capacity analysis, and downside stress testing
- Exposure to sponsor-backed or leveraged transactions is highly desirable
- Strong written communication skills for credit memos and internal approvals
- Comfortable operating across IG and HY credit spectrum within a single portfolio framework
