
Commercial Director (US Market launch) - AI startup

We are partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed AI SaaS company that is expanding into North America. This is a first commercial hire in the region - a true market-launch role with full ownership of enterprise sales across the US, focused on the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector.
You will:
- Build and execute the North America go-to-market strategy
- Identify and break into tier-1 BFSI accounts
- Generate your own pipeline through outbound and network-led approaches
- Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles (prospecting → close)
- Engage senior stakeholders across business, technology, and compliance functions
- Convert initial wins into multi-year enterprise partnerships
- Work directly with founders on strategy, positioning, and deal execution
- Selling into highly regulated financial institutions
- Multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles
- Typical deal sizes: mid–high six figures ARR (and growing)
T his role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, ownership, and zero-to-one environments :
- 7-15+ years of enterprise sales experience
- A track record of closing complex 6-7 figure deals
- Enterprise SaaS / AI / data / analytics sales into BFSI
- Proven ability to generate pipeline independently (not reliant on inbound)
- Experience carrying $1M+ annual quotas
- A highly resourceful, self-directed approach to building markets
