Korn Ferry has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a Finance Director on behalf of a publicly traded, global industrial technology company operating across more than 20 countries.

Our client is a leader in their space, serving a broad and diversified global customer base across industrial, transportation, and electronics end markets. The business is well-positioned at the center of long-term global growth themes including sustainability, connectivity, and safety, supported by a strong track record of innovation, strategic acquisitions, and operational excellence.

The Finance Director will serve as the senior finance leader for a ~$250M business unit within a key growth segment, partnering directly with the General Manager and reporting to the VP of Finance. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial performance, operational improvement, and strategic decision-making across a global footprint.

This role will operate as a true business partner to leadership across product management, manufacturing, and supply chain, helping to drive growth, profitability, and continued integration across a complex, global organization.

Key Areas of Impact

  • Serve as a key member of the business leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance and influencing decision-making
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for a ~$250M global business unit
  • Partner with operations to drive improvements in product profitability, manufacturing efficiency, and supply chain performance
  • Optimize working capital, capital allocation, and return on investment across the business
  • Deliver robust financial reporting and analytics, including monthly and quarterly performance insights and variance analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure, including ERP optimization
  • Support and lead financial integration efforts tied to M&A activity
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global finance team across multiple regions (including Mexico and China)
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance, and financial stewardship across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including leadership within a global, publicly traded organization
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders (e.g., General Manager, lead operators) to drive financial and operational performance
  • Strong background in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operating environments
  • Deep expertise in FP&A, financial reporting, controllership, and operational finance
  • Experience leading global teams and working across international markets
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements, systems enhancements, and scalable finance infrastructure
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Salary Range and Benefits Overview

  • $175,000 - $250,000 + 22-25% Bonus + LTI
