
Professor of the Practice of Business and Director of the Executive MBA Program

Position Overview
Professor of Practice (Open Rank) in business disciplines, School of Professional Studies – As Academic Director of the internationally‑recognized Executive MBA program in partnership with IE University (Madrid, Spain). The role leads the program through a curricular transition, maintaining relevance to emerging business challenges while upholding the program’s core business skills and analytical tools.
Responsibilities
- Guide the strategic and academic direction of the EMBA and any future master’s programs.
- Ensure rigor and integrity of the curriculum.
- Lead faculty recruiting and hiring efforts.
- Recruit students to the program with support from the recruiting team.
- Chair and lead the admissions committee.
- Respond to student needs and maintain strong relationship with partners at IE.
- Build a strong alumni community and establish new corporate relationships.
- Develop marketing materials and strategies.
- Teach in one or more programs.
- Serve on school and university committees.
- Contribute to non‑degree and executive education projects.
- Complete administrative tasks appropriate to faculty members.
- Pursue professional development and scholarly projects.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (DBA, Ph.D., MBA, or equivalent) in a field relevant to business education.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a leadership role and teaching, with preferably academic administrative experience.
- Demonstrated ability to support and promote a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
- Strong grasp of emerging technology and its role in the workplace.
- Ability to engage with students in a patient, proactive, and solution‑oriented manner.
Additional Requirements
Position requires substantial time spent in the office and is not eligible for full‑time remote work. Must be able to travel for the three annual overseas residential sessions of the MBA.
