Job Summary
Traveling Super-WA State, OR, CA
Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure work is executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and federal agency standards (USACE, NAVFAC, VA, etc.).
- Maintain daily site operations and enforce site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field staff, and material deliveries to ensure efficient workflow and minimize project delays.
- Participate in daily meetings and planning sessions with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives.
- Work closely with the Quality Control Manager to support inspections, testing, and documentation for the Three Phases of Control.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including daily reports, labor and equipment logs, safety meetings, and field photos.
- Monitor and enforce job site safety, including conducting daily safety briefings and ensuring corrective actions are taken for any deficiencies.
- Identify and mitigate risks, delays, and potential conflicts through proactive planning and communication.
- Manage project schedule updates and assist with sequencing of trades to keep construction activities on track.
- Ensure all field changes are documented and communicated to the Project Manager for change management and contract compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of construction supervision experience, preferably on federal, military, or government-funded projects.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification – Required
- USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) Certification – Preferred
- First Aid/CPR Certification – Preferred
- In-depth knowledge of construction means and methods, federal contract specifications, and safety regulations (EM 385-1-1).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and subcontractors.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schedules, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) is a plus.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working on military bases or other secure government sites.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality projects under strict deadlines.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, field staff, and agency representatives.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, depending on the workforce.
