Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, for an Import Specialist. The Import Specialist will manage day-to-day import operations, including coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and handling import/export documentation. Responsibilities include working closely with clients and carriers to ensure smooth delivery processes, addressing customer inquiries, resolving shipment issues, and participating in the optimization of supply chain procedures. Collaboration with internal teams to support operational excellence is also a key component of the role.
Qualifications Strong knowledge of Import and Export processes, including import/export documentation and regulations Experience in International Trade and logistics operations Proven skills in Customer Service and client communication Ability to manage and execute Import and Export operations efficiently Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in office software and freight management systems Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and international shipping documentation is a plus Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
