Asset Management | P&L Leadership | Data Driven Operations A well established material handling dealer in the Northeast is hiring a Director of Fleet to own the strategy, performance, and profitability of its rental fleet. This is one of the most pivotal seats in the business, sitting at the intersection of sales, operations, and finance, with full P&L ownership of the fleet as its own division.
What You'll Own Full P&L for the fleet division, including utilization, margin, and disposition timing Fleet strategy and mix, with purchasing and rotation recommendations to ownership Daily partnership with sales on availability, pricing, and deal structure Cross functional work with service, parts, and logistics to maximize uptime and lifecycle value Reporting and analytics that turn fleet data into executive level decisions What You Bring Experience leading fleet, asset management, or rental operations in material handling, construction equipment, or a related industrial rental environment Strong P&L fluency and a firm grasp of utilization economics, residuals, and rental profitability levers Heavy analytical horsepower and comfort living in the data Track record of working shoulder to shoulder with sales and operations teams Leadership experience building, coaching, or turning around teams Why This Role Pivotal seat owning the engine of the business Full P&L with the backing of an established dealer platform Reports to the COO with a direct line to ownership on strategic decisions Respected, long tenured company ready to invest in smarter, more data driven fleet management
