Onward Search is hiring: Graphic Designer (Contract) [81849] in Waukegan

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Contract Graphic Designer for a reputable, national Office Furniture brand.

This position will be on-site Monday-Thursday in Waukegan, IL

(1-1.5 hours north of Chicago, about 1 hour from Milwaukee, WI)

Pay $32-35/hr

This is a 1-2 month contract which could extend.

Responsibilities:

Design and produce digital marketing assets including:

• Email campaigns
• Sell sheets and sales collateral
• Web banners and on-site graphics
• Basic branding and layout updates

• Translate brand guidelines into clean, visually engaging designs across platforms
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and eCommerce teams to deliver assets on time
• Prepare final files for digital and print distribution
• Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining quality and consistency
• Support ongoing creative needs with efficient, production-focused design work

Requirements:

• 1–4 years of professional graphic design experience (junior to mid-level)
• Previous design work with a reputable company; experience with larger or well-known brands is strongly preferred
• Portfolio demonstrating published digital design work (email, web, eCommerce, marketing collateral) Junior Level Talent with 1 year + of experience OK! Looking for modern, aesthetic, national work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma)
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and brand systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
