About the role Fintelligent is partnering with a highly regarded international law firm to place a mid-to-senior level Leasing Associate within their New York office. This is a rare opportunity — open to candidates from both law firm and in‑house backgrounds — to join a nationally acclaimed leasing practice that advises sophisticated, top‑tier clients on high‑profile transactions. The successful candidate will gain meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and a clear path to advancement on a shareholder track.
What you'll do
Negotiate and draft retail and office leases for institutional landlords and tenants across a range of asset classes.
Manage transactions with direct client contact from early stages through to execution.
Advise clients on lease structuring, landlord/tenant rights, and related commercial real‑estate matters.
Lead discrete workstreams independently and manage deal processes end‑to‑end.
Contribute to a growing national leasing practice with a strong market reputation.
Supervise junior colleagues and contribute to their professional development where appropriate.
What we're looking for
3–8 years of experience at a law firm or in‑house legal team focused on commercial leasing.
Proven track record negotiating and drafting retail and office leases — this is essential.
Strong academic credentials and excellent written communication skills.
Client‑service mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
Active admission to the New York Bar in good standing.
Compensation $225,000 – $380,000 base salary.
Final offer is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors. Full‑time employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus, comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), life and disability insurance, FSA/HSA, and commuter benefits.
