About the role Fintelligent is partnering with a highly regarded global law firm to place a mid-level Private Equity Associate within their New York office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-driven attorney with a strong PE transactions background to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with sophisticated clients, and develop as a dealmaker within a market-leading practice.
What you’ll do
Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents including purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and financing documents
Conduct thorough due diligence and legal research across a range of investment opportunities and deal structures
Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters arising in private equity transactions
Assist in the structuring and formation of private equity funds
Provide ongoing counsel on corporate transactions, corporate governance, and securities regulations
Collaborate across practice groups to ensure seamless transaction execution
Lead discrete workstreams independently and manage deal processes end-to-end
Supervise junior colleagues and actively contribute to their professional development
Track industry trends, legal developments, and evolving best practices in private equity law
What we’re looking for
3–5 years of experience at a large law firm focused on private equity transactions
Proven track record representing private equity sponsors in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
Experience advising both private equity and strategic investors
Strong grasp of corporate governance and securities compliance in the context of PE deals
Familiarity with legal AI tools and platforms as applied to corporate transactions
Excellent legal writing, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to self-manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
Active admission to the New York Bar in good standing
