WABC Digital Content Producer – Daily Hire
Location: New York, New York, United States.

WABC-TV is the premier local news station in New York City. The Digital Content Producer will create, edit, and produce material for digital, social, and connected TV platforms, working in a fast‑paced newsroom to cover breaking news and produce engaging content for viewers.

Daily Hire: employee hired on a daily basis with no regular schedule.

What You Will Do

Using insights to drive editorial and strategic decision‑making.

Assist in developing content across current and future platforms with storytelling optimized for each screen and reflective of audience diversity.

Work with newsroom leaders to create synergy across all platforms on station content.

Manage social and multi‑platform content for station accounts.

Own breaking news and big stories with speed and accuracy, and grow new opportunities in our multi‑media environment.

Collaborate with content makers to maximize sharing across multiple platforms.

Use SEO to increase page views and unique visitors through Google, etc.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in audience development or news.

Deep understanding of social strategy and SEO, and desire to keep up with emerging platforms.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Nonlinear editing experience.

Strong video production skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere).

Proficient with AP style.

Willingness to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree (related degree preferred in Journalism, TV/Production, etc.).
