Ministry Requirements
Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Create and manage the BRB direct mail plan, schedule and process
Oversee creation of all print materials including annual donor report, brochures, rack cards, and solicitation materials
Engage regularly with BGEA Director, Communications, and BGEA Project Lead assigned to BRB to brief on plans, calendars, and creative needs requiring BGEA approval or assistance
Annual conceptualization and drafting of a minimum of 4 multi‑media fundraising campaigns per year (Spring, Summer, Fall, Christmas) including coordination of direct mailed solicitations, emails, social media, and other media
Lead and manage data segmentation and communication efforts within and outside campaigns to best communicate with individual donors and maximize ROI
Create and execute specific communications strategy for monthly Hope Heroes and Mid‑Level Donors (giving between $500 and $1,999)
Ensure Relationship Associates have timely and relevant listener impact stories that are packaged in a way easy to share with donors
Collaborate with the Engagement & Outreach Manager to create and execute an acquisition and communication strategy for new listeners and new names, utilizing public events and digital channels, and grow new listeners into donors
Work with the BRB Digital and Social Media Content Specialist to create and maintain a donor ministries micro‑site of the website
Coordinate with BGEA Project Lead to ensure print projects are completed with excellence in a timely manner
Work closely with outside vendors for printing projects and BRB Direct Mail campaigns
Manage the BRB donor ministry data select‑request process, working with BGEA IT to ensure all mailing lists are accurate and meet segmentation needs
Maintain list of communication and account codes and ensure codes are effectively utilized for documentation and segmentation of communication lists
Work with the Administration team to create and distribute reports documenting the effectiveness of each campaign and of the overall communications strategy

Skills and Knowledge
Associate-level degree in business or related field
5 years’ experience in fundraising and/or communications
Ability to implement The Light FM’s philosophy for the radio broadcast regardless of own opinions, with a willingness to share personal testimony and convey Christian viewpoints consistent with the ministry’s Mission Statement and Statement of Faith
Ability to convey complex ideas in simple, direct language
Ability to properly represent The Light FM in public settings in performance and appearance
Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with people of all backgrounds and interest levels
Ability to use spreadsheet and database software
Ability to work independently and make decisions as appropriate
Physical/Mental Demands
Ability to make quick decisions and exercise sound judgment with a minimum of supervision
Comfort with making public appearances and interacting with large crowds
Capacity to prioritize work and manage multiple projects in a high-paced environment
Ability to work efficiently and productively under deadlines
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing job parameters, deadlines, or directions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility when priorities change
Ability to convey a positive and professional attitude to the public and BRB staff
Working Conditions
Ability to tolerate extended periods using computer equipment
Ability to tolerate extended periods of sitting in one work location
Ability to work in close proximity to other staff with limited privacy
Availability to work occasional events on evenings and weekends
