LHH is recruiting for a commercial real estate debt division of a large nationally renown alternative asset manager. We are looking for an experienced Asset Manager to join its team in North Atlanta. You will manage a portfolio of complex debt investments collateralized by commercial real estate construction and operating properties. This includes assets spanning a variety of U.S. markets and a variety of property types including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, student-housing and hospitality. The team is well-built with an excellent culture!

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain asset-level financial models and forecasts and underwrite assets
• Monitor and analyze property-level financial statements (e.g., rent rolls, P&Ls, budgets)
• Drive property-level and portfolio-level NOI growth
• Maintain broad overview knowledge of major markets
• Assess performance of the assets relative to original underwriting strategies, business plans and market conditions
• Review and evaluate monthly / quarterly operating performance
• Perform property inspections, provide inspection summaries and attend project meetings
• Collaborate with acquisitions, development, and capital markets teams to inform exit strategies
• Coordinate communications between borrowers, partners, syndicate/participant lenders and property managers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or associated business degree
• 5+ years of experience of asset management in the Commercial Real Estate sector
• Strong construction lending, development, or asset management experience in commercial real estate
• Solid understanding of complex and challenging commercial real estate structured-finance transactions
• Advanced proficiency in Excel. ARGUS a plus, but not required
